Thank you to The California Endowment
The California Endowment has granted $25,000 to the AV Skatepark Project! The Endowment prioritizes projects that promote community health and wellness, and our aim to develop a community recreation space aligns with that mission. Restroom construction on deck!!
Full steam ahead on restroom construction! This is a huge step forward for the AV Skatepark Project; the restroom is an essential part of our development plan and a top priority for the community. Thanks to recent grants from the California General Fund Specified Grant Program, The California Endowment and the George and Ruth Bradford Foundation, as well as gifts from some very generous community members, we have cash in hand to proceed with this phase of the project. Project site tucked in for winter
A huge thanks to Rege Construction, local landscape expert Pam Callaghan and architect Alex Korn for helping to ensure all of the new soil at our construction site is prepared for winter! Pam Callaghan coordinated erosion control measures for the site, and we are very fortunate that Rege Construction (contract for the neighboring track project, with whom we coordinated excess soil delivery) chose to hydro-seed all of the new soil at no charge!
