You're Invited: 9/23 Park Design Presentation

Your ideas are taking shape, Anderson Valley!

Over the past year, AV Service Learning Team students and the Anderson Valley Community Park Project team have hosted a series of workshops in the community and schools to gather input about what AV residents want in the park pertaining to the selection and design of new park features, landscaping and art installations, and measures to ensure safe park use.

Over 120 community members and 45 students joined us to share their ideas, as well as more than 100 residents who pitched in votes at our community event tables. THANK YOU Anderson Valley for translating your enthusiasm and excitement for this project into this vital contribution toward creating a park matched to the community's ideals!

Our team, with project architect Alex Korn (Catamount Design) at the helm, translated this community input into a conceptual park site plan, and we're excited to share the vision with you!  We invite community members, especially those who participated in the park design workshop series, to join us for a sneak peek of the park’s draft development plan, showing what new features will be added and where they’ll go.

The AV Skatepark Project started it all and remains top priority (in addition to the critically-needed restroom), but we have the opportunity to dream big as we embark on new upcoming funding opportunities.
