Students Spread the Word at AV Health Center Harvest Fest

14 students on the AV Service Learning Team worked together on Thursday to do outreach at the AV Health Center's bustling Harvest Festival . The well-attended annual community event features information tables and activities sponsored by various community organizations, and this year AV Skatepark Project joined the ranks! Students were busy throughout the 3 hour event, gathering petition signatures (64 new signatures!), providing general information about the project, selling hand-made AV Skatepark Project buttons (and cranking out more at the event), and hosting their homemade children's activities (such as mini skateboard racing and an AV Skatepark themed activity packet). The community's excitement for the project was palpable. Students were energized to feel momentum building for the project, and everyone had a great time!
