Pinot Fest benefits AV Skatepark Project – big time!

Jun 5, 2023

Online auction brings in $12,029 for the project

This past May, the Anderson Valley Winegrowers’ Association (AVWA) hosted its 24th annual Pinot Noir festival, drawing wine lovers from throughout the region and beyond. This year, the AVWA selected the AV Skatepark Project to receive a portion of the funds raised via the festival’s online auction, and also welcomed our group to table at the event’s Grand Tasting. It was a wonderful opportunity to spread the word about the project, sell merchandise and recruit a new fleet of passionate supporters. In exchange, the AV Skatepark Project team put in more than  coordinated volunteers for the event, and Service Learning Team students helped with clean-up following the festival’s two main events.

In total, the Pinot Fest brought in $14,745 for the project. This includes $1,470 in merchandise sales and $1,246 in donations at the Grand Tasting, and $12,029 via the event’s online auction.

THANK YOU to the AVWA for recognizing the significance of this project for our community and choosing to support the cause!!
