CSD awards $8,000 to AV Skatepark Project

The Community Services District (CSD) Parks and Recreation Committee has granted $8,000 to the AV Skatepark Project.

Service Learning Team (SLT) students and facilitators have been attending monthly CSD Recreation Committee meetings since October 2022. SLT students gave a formal presentation to the Rec Committee in April 2022, and gained their enthusiasm and support for the project!

The CSD had previously set aside $8000 in a fund for community recreation (assumed to be for a potential public swimming pool), and decided to focus these funds on the effort for a skatepark, since it seems more viable.
